Do I have to pay the entire booking fee up front?
In alot of the cases no, as for most rental locations expresscarentals only requires a booking deposit. You will need to pay the remainder of the booking fee upon arrival at the rental desk of the provider to whom you are collecting your rental vehicle from. Please refer to your rental voucher for further details.
What are the age limits for renting a vehicle?
Age limits can vary greatly from rental provider to rental provider. Please read carefully the rental conditions on the booking engine located on step 2 of the booking process indicated by "Rate Details", or step 3 at the bottom of the page indicated "rental conditions".
Can I take my rental vehicle to a different county / Cross borders?
In most cases rental vehicles can be taken to another country, However please refer to the "Rate Details" BEFORE taking any rental vehicle to another country, also confirm with the clerk at the rental counter.
Is there any additional charge for one-way rentals?
As each rental location has only a limited supply of rental vehicles, there may therefore be an additional drop off charge if the vehicle is being dropped off in a different location to where it was collected. Please refer to the "rental conditions" and "Rate Details" for more information on this, or ask the rental agent upon collection of your rental vehicle for more information. **Please Note** If there is any one-way drop off fee to be paid, it will NOT be included in the price quoted online. Any drop off fees are to be paid locally at the rental agent, Thank you.
When do I pay for additional extra's?
Any and all extras must be paid for upon arrival at your rental agent. (child seats, additional drivers, extra equipment etc) must all be paid for locally at the car rental agent counter.
How do I know which rental company I will collect my vehicle from?
The booking engine automatically finds the lowest cost rental available from the various companies we deal with. Which can include Alamo, Budget, Europcar, National, Sixt, Advantage, Thrifty, Enterprise and many more. The rental company you will collect your vehicle from will be displayed on the voucher confirmation you print off.
I am new to renting vehicles, do you have any advice or tips for me?

What do I do in the event of an accident?
Please contact the rental office from which you collected the vehicle, you will find the contact information on your rental voucher/rental agreement. The rentar is required to inform the rental office immediatley in the event of any accident. The rentar MUST perform the following procedures outlined here: (A) Obtain all nesessary contact information from all people involved and any possible witnesess. (B) Immediatly inform the rental agent with all details which may be of use. (C) Immediatly notify the authorities if the third party should be investigated, or if any person(s) are injured. (D) Do NOT leave vehicle without taking proper measures to protect and safeguard it. **Please note** No refunds will be made for a reservation or lost rental time if vehicle(s) have been involved in an accident.
What is the fuel policy?
A fuel policy is a specific term and condition set by the car rental agent regarding the charge associated with the fuel of the vehicle. Car rental agents have different fuel policies. Please check your terms and conditions for the specific fuel policy or "rate details" on step 2 of the booking process to find out more.
Can I reduce the excess on the vehicle? Can I take out additional insurances to reduce it?
You can purchase additional insurances to reduce the excess on the vehicle. This can be done at the rental agent's office upon arrival. If you choose not to purchase additional insurances a pre-authorisation is required. This pre-authorisation is taken from your credit card. Please see your terms and conditions for more details.
What is Cartrawler's cancellation policy?
If you want to cancel your booking you MUST do so by contacting Cartrawler.com via email only no less than 24 hours BEFORE your departure date. Cartrawler will not accept cancellation requests by telephone. More than 24 hours notice: Cartrawler will refund all charges except for the non-refundable administration fee to the credit/debit card that was supplied during booking. Less than 24 hours notice/No show: If you contact Cartrawler less than 24 hours before your departure date to cancel your booking, or if you don't show to collect your rental vehicle, then all monies transacted on the credit/debit card shall be retained. What are your "reviews" and how can I leave a testimonial?
We have two ways for our customers to leave testimonials, they are: Via our facebook page located here, or via our alexa page located here. **NOTE** Only genuine testimonials will be accepted, to assure this, you MUST provide your full name, dates of rental and booking reference number along with your testimonial information when submitting your testimonial to us.

You can submit business proposals direct to us via email in the first instance outlining your proposal in detail, then if interested we may follow up on your inquiry to gather further information. **NOTE** All business proposals are subject to review and can take considerable time to respond, any acceptance is subject to a contract agreement.
