Limerick Info:
The county of Limerick is bordered by the popular tourist locations of Co.Cork, Co.Kerry and Co.Clare and as such Co.Limerick does tend to be overlooked by many tourists when thinking of visiting or hiring vehicles in Ireland.

It is an unfortunate fact that the Limerick location doesn't seem to have the same amount of attraction that it's neighbouring counties have and this is largely down to the fact that the County of Limerick doesn't really have all that much in way of tourist attractions. However some sights such as King John's Castle in Limerick city is one of Ireland's best examples of a fortified Norman architecture in the country and a definate visit here is a must.

Although Limerick may not seem to be a hot tourist destination it does have some claims to be proud of, for instance in the Lushness pastures dotted around the county it is widely known that the best dairy cattle come from Limerick and the county is also a famous breeding ground for horses. And whilst may be not of much tourist interest that the county is home to the village of Adare which annually is a strong contender for the title of Ireland's prettiest village and actually worth visiting even if just to take a few photos.

Limerick county does have some places to visit that may be of interest and some of those places include:

Kilcornan: which is home to Currahchase Forest Park and the Celtic Park Gardens, both of which are worth a visit.
Adare: An annual contender for the title of Ireland's prettiest Village a visit here is worth it, even if just to take photos and have a wander round. there are also other locations throughout the county and if you rent a car a few days spent touring round might well be worth your time, especially as although other locations in Ireland may well be more desired, the county of Limerick does have a charm and an interest of it's own, and if you take the time to discover it, you might just find yourself not disappointed.

For the county of Limerick our recommendation would be: >> Full day's stay touring round.
